Cookie Policy

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and (with your consent) measure how you use the service.

2. Cookies we use

We currently use no marketing or advertising cookies. If this changes, this page will be updated and your consent will be re-requested.

3. How we handle analytics cookies

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) cookies are only set after you explicitly accept analytics cookies via the consent banner. We use GA4 Consent Mode v2:

  • Before consent: analytics_storage: denied — GA fires only cookieless pings. No cookies are set.
  • After consent: analytics_storage: granted — GA cookies are set. anonymize_ip: true is always active.
  • No user ID or personal data is passed to GA. We never track individual users across sessions for advertising purposes.

We also use PostHog for product analytics (which pages and features are used). PostHog is not loaded at all until you accept analytics cookies — before consent it sets no cookies and sends no data. Anonymous visitors are not stored as individual profiles, and PostHog data is never used for advertising.

4. Third-party analytics without cookies (Cloudflare)

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics — a privacy-first, cookieless analytics service. It does not set any cookies, does not use fingerprinting, and does not share data with ad networks. No consent is required for Cloudflare Web Analytics under the ePrivacy Directive.

5. Managing your preferences

You can change your cookie preferences at any time:

  • Via the consent banner: Click “Cookies” in the site footer to re-open the banner and update your preferences.
  • Via your browser: Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies in their privacy or security settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from staying logged in.
  • Opt out of Google Analytics: Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

6. Changes to this policy

If we add new cookies or change our use of existing ones in a material way, we will update this page and — where required — seek fresh consent via the banner.
