Pastoral care: Fettes operates a full boarding ethos with 24/7 care and support for boarders. Each boarding house is a community with houseparents providing a nurturing environment. The school supports positive mental health and students have access to NHS doctors and a team of Fettes nurses in the on-campus medical centre. There is 1-to-1 tutor support in the senior school and a wellbeing programme throughout.
