Pastoral care: Pocklington School has an outstanding reputation for pastoral care, with a purpose-built Health and Wellbeing Centre staffed by school nurses, a head of pupil wellbeing, independent clinical psychologists, and counsellors. Each pupil is assigned to one of four day houses in Prep and Senior School. A school chaplain provides spiritual support. Boarders have reserved appointments with a designated school doctor at the local NHS GP surgery.
