Year 7 (11+): Online adaptive tests plus an English paper. High scorers invited to Academic Scholarship with extension papers and interview. Sixth Form: GCSE results and interviews with Heads of Department. Wrekin Prep pupils gain automatic entry to Wrekin Senior.

Boarding & pastoral

Boarding type: Full, Weekly, Flexi

Dining: Lunches prepared by expert caterers and eaten with staff in a dedicated dining space. All meals included for boarders. Nutritionally-balanced snacks twice a day for Prep pupils.

Pastoral care: Pastoral care is a central pillar at Wrekin College. Every pupil has bespoke wellbeing support, with onsite counselling available. A Health and Wellbeing Centre is staffed by two full-time specially trained members. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with a strong pastoral system rooted in courtesy, kindness and common sense.
